FAIRS/EXHIBITIONS
Fairs and exhibitions have a significant impact on the economy of British
Columbia. They are gathering places for the young and old and offer the public a
place to meet, compete and volunteer their services. Not only do fairs and
exhibitions have an economic benefit, they also offer many tangible benefits to
each and every community.
In order for agricultural fairs and exhibitions to be a member of the BC
Association of Agricultural Fairs and Exhibitions they must meet the mandate of
the association's bylaws and have 10 recognized agricultural categories.
AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP
Any non-profit association or organization whose purposes include the furthering of agriculture, industry and community life and who hold annually scheduled events such as community celebrations, horticultural or agricultural festivals, etc. shall be eligible for Affiliate Membership upon approval of the Board of Directors and on payment of annual membership dues.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Associate Member - pertains to government
agency, non-profit organizations, other fairs (Cdn. and US) and others who are
interested in the improvement of agricultural fairs and exhibitions in British
Columbia.
COMMERCIAL/ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Commercial Member - pertains to an individual, firm
or organization who earns income from doing business directly with a
fair/exhibition. Examples would be concessionaires, midway operations,
entertainment agencies etc.
